We Were in the News!

Exciting news! Nicholas Meat has been making headlines. We recently had the privilege of being interviewed by Joanne Cleaver at Meatingplace. The focus was on our new cattle barn, a testament to our commitment to animal welfare and sustainable operations. The article also delves into how this barn complements our upcoming Sustainable Resource Facility (SRF). If you’re a Meatingplace subscriber, you can access the full article for more details.

“This new barn design was based on industry-leading technology and humane methods. With no sharp corners, there’s a distinct flow through the barn, in a herringbone pattern, which doesn’t require animals to make 90-degree turns. It prevents slips and falls,” explains Duane Eichenlaub, regulatory and sustainability manager, in the article.

Closer to home, PennLive reporter John Beauge talked with Nicholas Meat representatives about the state-of-the-art cattle barn as well as the SRF. The article discusses how the receipt of cattle at the facility will be streamlined with the new barn and that unloading time will decrease. Cattle may be delivered to the facility 24 hours a day. Unscheduled cattle deliveries can arrive Monday through Friday between 7 am and 3 pm. All other cattle deliveries must be arranged by appointment.
