Responsibilities:

• This position will focus on the Process Safety Management (PSM) and code compliance of large scale industrial refrigeration systems which use ammonia as the refrigerate
• Work closely with Nicholas meat team members to perform inspections of our industrial ammonia refrigeration system
• Assist with detailed refrigeration system inspections for mechanical integrity, safety and code compliance, and write the associated reports
• Assist health, safety, and environmental personnel as well as maintenance and utilities managers to perform duties as mandated by their Process Safety Management programs (PSM) driven by OSHA/EPA regulations
• Write components of the PSM programs such as MOCs and various reports
• Assist with PHAs, Compliance Audits, and drawing mark ups
• Deliver written reports and interface with our customers as required
• Work to develop knowledge of industry codes and standards
• Support and collaborate with general contractors, and refrigeration contractors throughout the lifecycle of a project

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Developing foundation in principles of refrigeration

3. Deveoping knowledge of all components of Process Safety Management

4. Strong computer skills and proficient with all Microsoft Office products

5. Strong proficienvy with Excel for reports and tracking documents

6. Highly self-motivated with a passion for learning and growth

7. Analytical and problem solving skills

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

9. Lift up to 50 lbs

10. Comfortable using scissor lifts and/or other aerial lifts to access equiptment

11. Exposure to extreme cold temperatures down to -30 degrees F in refrigerated areas

12. Comfortable in loud machine rooms requiring hearing protection
