- Proactively maintains safe and healthy work environment while complying with legal codes and regulations by ensuring employees are following standards and procedures.
- Leads and supports a team of technicians in the delivery of high-quality machine maintenance services.
- Directs and supervises assigned employees to perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and other tasks to meet or exceed requirements in a timely, accurate, and optimal manner that improves overall machine efficiency and reliability.
- Engages positively with all departments, driving excellent results through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Schedule and assign specific duties to maintenance personnel daily.
- Reviews work orders for completion and accuracy. Optimize PM task based on trending metrics or other machine reliability initiatives.
- Ensures adherence to work schedules and rectifies any gaps that would impact maintenance support.
- Conducts and participates in tea meetings as an influential leader.
- Ability to safely perform basic machining operations.
- Aide in the troubleshooting and resolution of problems with all equipment as needed.
- Prepare for and oversee preventative maintenance (P.M) on relevant tooling and equipment as required.
- Knowledge and compliance with all company policies and S.O.P.’s.
- Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
- Knowledge and understanding of all CGMP’s relating to this position.
- Communicates and escalates priorities, issues, and equipment status to leadership as needed, playing a key role in developing and sustaining machine reliability initiatives.
- Oversee expenses, such as labor, overtime, and material consumption. Approves any overtime worked by the team.
- Assists team in measuring and reporting key performance indicators, including root cause analyses and trending machine reliability metrics.
- Creates a culture of accountability to standard work and good practices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years in Maintenance Industrial environment.
- Minimum experience of 3 years in a supervisory role or leadership role.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Working knowledge of mechanical functions (change oil, gears, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent methodical troubleshooting skills a MUST.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines, controlling budgets, and assist others outside their area of responsibility.
- Ability to constructively interact with others to resolve issues and improve the operation.
- Experience with PLC’s, welding, machining, mechanical, electrical, precision measurement, lubrication, hydraulic/pneumatic and fabrication methods.
- Ability to supervise others with good organizational skills.
- Other duties and or project work as assigned.
