Harvest Production Hourly

Nicholas Meats is seeking hourly Harvest Production Team Members! Pay scale starts at $18.60/hr. and go up to $23.20/hr. 

Nicholas Meat was founded more than 30 years ago in the beautiful Sugar Valley of central Pennsylvania. Originally known as Nicholas Meat Packing Company, our humble beginnings continue to drive us today as we produce delicious beef products for our many customers who, in turn, provide beef to families in the U.S. and abroad. Our passion for the beef industry and the pursuit of excellence have kept us innovating through the years.

Nicholas Meats is hiring for quality, motivated, people to join the team on our Harvest production floor

Applicants should be willing or capable of performing the following jobs in the plant:

• Work in an area where livestock is being harvested.
• Work in areas with unpleasant odors
• Work in areas that require you to lift, pull, or push 50 lbs.
• Work with sharp knives or cutting tools
• Willing and capable of working overtime when necessary
• Willing and capable of working in or around damp areas
• Work in a fast-paced work environment
• Perform repetitive hand motions and body movements.
• Physically demanding jobs may take 5 to 6 weeks for the body to fully adjust to the work conditions, work environment.

LIFTING/ PUSHING/PULLING – 10 lbs. -50 lbs. production

NEUTRAL WRIST- Repetitive hand motions and grasping. 

REACHING – Reaching for product on the conveyor belt with hooks, reaching for boxes, or bags

STANDING – Constant standing for 8 to 10 hours per day, 5 days a week

Expectations:

            Report to work every day at your scheduled start time.

            Follow all company policies and procedures.

            Follow supervisors and managers instructions.

            Have the ability to work with others, and get along with others.

            Work to the best of your abilities and have the desire to learn and grow.
